Maritime Historical Background In Sangir Talaud characterized by growth of the Kingdom of Origin - Kingdom That Standing.

1. INTRODUCTION:

When we speak of Maritime History in our area, especially in Sangir Talaud district, then we will meet with several versions, and the other one has a little difference in the way of serving, depending on which version of history is derived. This is not surprising because most of the Maritime history in Sangir Talaud is poured from the mouth to mouth by the former parent to the children and grandchildren, which is not a historical document is authentic. But there are also some historical documents are authentic documents which may defend the identity of a region which belong to a kingdom. For instance, in 1914 the U.S. claimed the islands in the southern Mindanao as Marere and Miangas TABUKAN but because the kingdom has an authentic document, then the Americans can not deny that these islands are TABUKAN region.

2. The establishment of the kingdoms of the SANGIR TALAUD.

A. Age History

According to legend Sangir that the first humans inhabit the island Sangir is Gumansalangi or Medelu his wife Ondu Ansa or Mekila. Husband and wife to come from heaven, through the thunder and lightning to the two beings which inhabit the mountain this Sahendaruman after 3 days 3 nights mountain peaks covered with dark clouds accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Datuk Gumansalangi establish his kingdom bordering the kingdom Bowentahu and Mangondow the south, in the north with the Sultanate of Mindanaow, west side with the Sultanate of Sulu while the eastern part of the Sultanate of Ternate. His empire 100 years old just started in the XIII century AD and ended in the XIV century BC After the empire broke up then arises Gumansalangi small kingdoms.

1.1. Kingdom Saluran Manuwe in 1500 in the reign of the son Langi Kulane Bulega Across Kulane Nusa.

Note: Rimpulaeng Kingdom is the union of the two parts of the kingdom in the East is Sangir Sahabe Kingdom and the Kingdom of channels after conquering Makaampouw Sangir Bawengehe northern and marry two daughters of the King of the Kingdom of Mamata Nusa Sahabe named Sompo Sehiwu and Sehiwu Weigh in 1600.

8.8. Kingdom Kendar or also known in his time based in Talawide Kingdom Talawide in the year 1600 under the authority of the Sultan's son Mehega Langi from the Sultanate of Sultan Sharif Debe / Davao.

9.9. Kingdom Talaud most recently emerged later in the twentieth century in the year 1922 under the reign of King Johanis Tamawiwy and centered on the Beo.
